If you want true philosophy and the real meaning of life, punch yourself in the balls. It will give you more clarity after 30 minutes or so.

I think Trump was first approached, or even hired, by the CIA to be an asset before his trip to Russia in the 80s. CIA would 100% have been on him, knowing fully well that Trump would be targeted by KGB.

Then Trump goes to Russia, and is approached by the KGB. Maybe even a kompromat is produced - the KGB would know his weaknesses (flattery, women).

CIA knows that KGB has at the very least approached Trump, and that he may be a compromised asset - but either keep a file on him, or try to get him to do collect intel through his business dealings.

KGB probably also knows that he can't be trusted, but know how to play him.

I also expect FBI to have approached Trump, to use him as an informant for his domestic dealings, and connections to organized crime.

On paper Trump is/was a perfect candidate. Businessman involved in a wide range of things, knows a lot of people. But he's also easy to manipulate, and will go to the highest bidder - but also willing to pay the price, to stay out of trouble himself.

So, yeah, wouldn't surprise me if it sometime, in the distant future, comes out that Trump was hired by both sides.
