Cuz I too have had same experience as you, 2 days ago I crashed my scooter, the t fork is completely bent out if shape and will need replacement, I have had 6 crashes in like 3 years. One ended badly as I broke my back and will have to live with that pain lifelong and this time my arms and shoulders got very badly sore I'm still recovering but feeling much better.

I'm lucky I was able to still walk and be alright with no major traumatic injury leaving me limbless, or in bedrest.

I can relate to you very much my college is far and didn't want to stay in hostel and travelling by bus is very inconvenient. And riding was far more easier for me.

But due to recent accident i was very sad thinking if I should quit riding altogether, but you know what, I don't think I'm going to.

My parents were supportive and told me to not think like this and told me to be more careful and vigilant while riding, my dad hates motorcycles, he would prefer a car over any motorcycle and wants me to get a car which I probably will soon. But I'm not going to stop riding completely.

Most of the time it just wasn't my fault and sometimes it was fault of both parties. But if I would have been more careful, a bit more slow, a bit more patient maybe such accidents wouldn't have happened.

I want you to understand that look in yourself at what you could have done otherwise to not get in that situation. For me it was my lack of patience and being a bit hard on throttle due to it. Also due to personal reasons I sometimes lose concentration which is very very crucial in driving/riding any vehicle. Which I know is my fault 100%. And I'm genuinely working on it.

I would recommend, give some time, rest well, get adequate sleep and take meds if you have, on time and focus on recovering. After getting better and bit if encouragement you can get on the saddle again and be a better rider by doing things different this time, being more vigilant, focused, riding defensive, limiting distractions, less speeding, and enjoying the ride.

If you still feel you genuinely don't want to ride anymore it's okay, take a long break if you want. No pressure.

My dad always says, Cars will be far more safer in any case than a motorcycle.So maybe look in getting a used car and start driving. You will still be able to travel on your own and driving is also very fun.

Did you not cycle when you were little..normally I have seen people who used to ride alot of bicycles when they were small turn out to better riders and they have it easy to learn as well..kids of 13 or 15 years ride scooters and bikes in rural areas as well..(not encouraged but that's a fact)
