A preta is basically a soul who is not embodied however still has some time left to go before transitioning to another body. There are various rituals (tarpana and sraddha) that descending family members have to do to speed the transition up, I think.

It is a very horrific condition where the soul remains constantly restless. The soul is hungry and thirsty, yet has no mouth to eat or drink with. They suffer from extreme heat and hypothermia. Extremely miserable state.

This miserable state is attained through untimely death and horrific accidents. I guess the easiest and fastest way to become preta is to commit suicide. Please don’t do that 🙏🏼

I understood the reason after reading comments on this post. Ppl like to blame old man without thinking about situation in last 50 years and how difficult it is to establish manufacturing in india. Political goals come first and foremost for many people, that’s why India is screwed

I can only speak about my experience as a girl, but most Delhi guys date just for fun. Shaadi mummy ki pasand ki ladki ke saath hi hogi.

My friend a pulm med Dr got left after 4 yrs because ab mummy ne laadi Sundar caste etc Wali ladki.

Infact it's becoming a running joke in our hospital so much so people don't date Delhi doctors.

There is like a stigma now especially in my social group irrespective of how the guy is ( which is sad ) people avoid dating north Indians seriously.
