The way that I see it and how it has been explained to me by VC friends is that AI industry is like the .com industry. The utility of the internet spawned a million use cases and companies rushed to create platforms that filled those cases. AI is a new platform with the same million use cases that companies are now rushing to fill. There will be dollars flooding those companies just like in the .com era, and eventually the bubble will pop.

If you have ever heard the phrase "AI is a utility looking for a use case", it was the same story with the advent of the world wide web and the .com era.
