One thing Macs seem to have had issues with at times is when the same wireless network SSID serves both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I thought they fixed that a few system versions ago, but you might try turning off or renaming one of the networks and see if that helps.

Also, are you plugged in or on battery? Energy Saver might power down the radios if on battery, but probably not on the desktop Macs.
