No Spark in Marriage
You seem to have TWO problems here:
1) The MIL is being toxic to you and is constantly brainwashing her son, thereby driving a ridge between both of you.
2) Consequently your husband (who btw is a classic mama's boy) has lost interest in you/takes you for granted.
The way ahead for you will become clear with this. Just ask this question and wait for his response:
'I'm facing XYZ issues in this home. Please let's just stay separate (close to your family)'
Now, if he still continues to ignores your problems and asks/expects you to make adjustments, then for sure its NEVER getting better.
BUT if he agrees to move out for your sake...well then you know he cares enough for you.

Break Ke Baad (2010) Still Feels Fresh, But 1995 Felt Like a Different Era
India as a whole in 90s was very different. In 1995, the economic reforms were just 4 years old, satellite TV was in its infancy, mobile had just launched, and mass internet was still years away.
Moreover, people who made movies weren't that tuned to international fashion trends. I would say, it's only from late 90s that Bollywood began to have better aesthetics in terms of what actors began wearing onscreen. I think Dil Chahta Hai, was pioneer in that, it had lead actors wearing things that were not cringe or loud. -

Women dumps waste in Metro loss. By mistake she leaves her address as well and gets caught π
I understand it was household waste and I do understand it's not ideal if everyone decides to do waste disposal at metro stations.
But, I would like to question the government bodies and authorities why our cities and towns have enough dustbins.
Like big garbage bins where everyone can dispose of waste, we try to shame a person with media reporting. She would have been better off throwing it on the streets like the majority of our Indian cities.
People are taxed on everything and we don't get anything in return.
My hometown even though we have haritha karma sena. They don't take all types of domestic waste.
Especially diapers, the whole place tries to burn and now neighbors oppose it being burned and people are resorting to dispose it off at the bus stand. Women throw pads into the water body or burn it. Burning waste is frowned as it should be, but what's the alternate solution provided by the authorities. -
