Passing sharp objects in hand among Hindus
This practice of not passing sharp objects directly from hand to hand is often rooted in both cultural and spiritual considerations rather than being purely superstitious. In many Hindu traditions, sharp objects like knives or scissors are considered to have a certain energy or force associated with them, and passing them directly from one person to another could be seen as transferring negative energy or disrupting harmony.
In the spiritual context, it's believed that by placing the sharp object on a table and allowing the other person to pick it up, the act avoids any unnecessary transfer of energy. This is similar to the broader principle in Hinduism that emphasizes cleanliness, purity, and the proper handling of items with respect and mindfulness. In some cases, it is also tied to the principle of Ahimsa (non-violence), as the act of handing over sharp objects may unintentionally cause harm or discomfort.
While this practice is not explicitly mentioned in the major Hindu scriptures like the Vedas or Bhagavad-gita, it has developed over time as part of cultural customs that are aligned with the values of respect, mindfulness, and avoiding harm. It could also be seen as part of the broader Hindu concept of living harmoniously with the environment and being conscious of the energies around us.
So, it’s not superstition, but rather a form of respect and caution grounded in spiritual principles and cultural traditions. -
I think i should quit riding
Hear me out mate. I had a scooter and I've crashed too many times, scooters are unstable compared to motorcycles, i am 40 year old and I have been riding 2 wheelers since I turned 18. I've had many crashes, 2 serious ones, one in which I wasn't even wearing proper gear.
Untill I turned 30, I was just riding scooters and I noticed how much of a difference it makes when you ride a motorcycle and the confidence with riding a motorcycle is more, since scooters are inherently more imbalanced compared to motorcycles.
I would say you can maybe get better at riding (definitely recommend watching Twist of Wrist 2 documentary) , upgrade to motorcycle, invest in safety gears, and know how to ride safely and responsibily.
Even then if you wish to hang your cape and quit riding, that's your call. -

For those who said we Mainlander Indians ignore North East Indian Culture
Even Delhi police has NEAT team vehicles, NORTH EAST ASSISTANT TEAM. These people really need to stop with their victim mindset.
I was grown among NE's here in Delhi and they are the ones keeping themseleves ahead and superior to others because of their different language and food habits even compared to similar looking folks around from Nepal, Darjeeling and Sikkim. Lets not forget about the problem with Manipur. Y'all blame the capital and media for this while you don't let us(outsiders) intervene and for this only reason forgetting that you were the source of this problem.
I have my own regional language but the local culture and language but that doesnt put food on my table so we all have to migrate to cities that too from high mountains in Himachal.
We all face racism in different parts of our country, ya'll talking about India being racist, go to america to see how they view Hispanics, Asians, Indians and moreover their own kind REDNECKS. Superiority complex is the problem and it comes with money, when you are rich you tend to seclude yourself from the rest and vice versa knowing India in majority is a poor country, racism is bound to happen. -
hypocrisy is fighting for its life seeing this.
She's a bad FM agreed. But don't hate blindly for the sake of "bjp mosam daaaw" propaganda. It actually is true. People who actually read the news, follow world events, know the current trends of Indian and global markets will know that she's saying the truth. The dollar is strengthening, and it will be even in 2025. Infact, ruppee is doing much better than other 1st world currencies against the dollar although the actual value of ruppee is far inferior to all of them.
