Crysta user here, i have been in the fortuner (new gen) a few times and here is my take on the fortuner.

not the most feature packed car but it will last very long, it can go anywhere, powerful engine, the 2.8 in my crysta feels really quick for a car its size its crazy torque.

now imagine that in 4wd and a better state of tune in the fortuner, it is definitely a hoot to drive and carry 6-7 people with all their luggage with breeze.

fuel economy is alright we get 10kmpl in my crysta with moderate driving and only city mileage, highways it gives 2-3kmpl more

fortuner being heavier will only have worse mileage but more range (bigger fuel tank)

and to mention, fortuner has bodyroll so definitely inferior to the innova in terms of comfort.

but if you need a well built, reliable, go anywhere car and a little bit of presence in the road and do not care about features and gizmos, fortuner is the way to go but the only downside is its price.
