The media. And a lot of people aren’t very educated when it comes to politics. We do A lot of intuitive gut following when it should be critical thinking and vice versa.

Also, calling bad government ‘distractions’ is kinda missing the point.

It’s more of horrible government run by the worst kind of leadership. Every action reinforces that. It’s like saying a turd is distracting from the pile of turds.

Americans fall for scams because Americans lack the education and healthy skepticism that comes from basic critical thinking skills. The end.

It’s no coincidence America is by far the most religious out of all industrialized western nations. By far. There are 370,000 churches in America. There’s not even 20k Starbucks. I’m not even touching televangelism and prosperity gospel, which are straight up cons.

The inertia momentum from being the only geographically isolated and unscathed by WWII nation is over. You didn’t need to be an avid reader to stamp Oldsmobile bumpers for 40 years and retire a wealthy man at 55. You can believe in whatever religious nonsense you want if the entire world wants your tractors and chickens.

But as the world catches up and build better tractors and healthier chickens, you can no longer sweep the illiteracy and lack of critical thinking under the rug. Every hour you spend in church is the hour your competitor is working on tabletop fusion and bullet trains. As this gap widens, the backfire effect strengthens and the self-fulfilling downward spiral accelerates.

Trump was supposed to release his tax returns, remember? He even made a spectacle out of it with the reams of blank paper. What ever happened to that? What ever happened to thousands of his promises and outright lies like replacing Obamacare with something better? Anyone with common sense would look at a liar who lies — live on national television in high definition — and decide not to believe him any more. Not Americans. Americans would choose a good lie over a bad truth 100% of the time.

The judge's ruling that the head of the agency can't access accounting is beyond stupid. He should be disbarred. An agency doesn't have the power to audit itself?

Turns out my friend was lying.

What is it about these so called Christian mega churches that makes all their leaders have this crazy look in their eyes, "Falwell Eyes"? I think it's a byproduct from having to lie to everyone around them 24/7. They're obviously acting and grifting and putting on a show, but they have to stay stuck character.

Time for a 40 ball 60 from Rohit. I can only assume the bois did this intentionally to set up a chase. Shami was bowling really poorly in the powerplay today, where every ball to Duckett was short and wide and almost nothing was targeting the stumps. There is no way a bowler of Shami's skill and calibre can be this wayward with line and length unless it was intentional.
