There are already multiple layers of audit currently happening at Medicare and Medicaid: the OIG has annual audits, the payers are auditing for fraud and errors, there are outside contractors conducting audits and the companies administering Medicare advantage normally have both internal and external audits of their payments. And there are probably more that I’m unaware of. And they all have AI

Ask anyone that works with Medicare data, the idea that the kids at DOGE, who have no industry experience or knowledge, are going to come in and find billions of dollars in fraud in a week or two is absurd. I’d be surprised if they could even learn how the revenue cycle and payment systems work in a month.

Unless Rick Scott has called their tip line, whatever they’re doing, it certainly isn’t auditing.

Hmmm...from the perspective of the state of economy we're in. Rarely do people realise 'freebies' is a construct for a kind of 'universal income' for the (now and in near future) largely unskilled 3rd world population.

Situations were created so that people demand for it themselves, than impose.

Understand it via this example, you live in a country that ensures either of these cases :

- Case A : your economy is investable globally and ensures a decent progression and you earn 2LPA for first 5 years, 5LPA for next 5, 10 LPA for next 5, and 15LPA for next five. Making around 1crore 35 lac in your career of 20 years.

- Case B : your economy is doomed (very predictably) and foreign nations do not express confidence in investing in your country as you are busy focussing more on local issues than taking on a global economic challenge. Your govt. ensures you 1 LPA for life without doing any work, simply to exist...lol. sounds too good to be true right? How much did you make...lets say tax free...20 Lacs in 20 years.

Case A is China, Case B is india.

But sure, by all means, be busy in whatever communal issues you had been solving for 100s of years.
