It depends. I’m a big proponent of branding, names, typography, especially for anything B2C. Today there are millions of websites and apps. My personal view is it should look good. HOWEVER, there is no need to spend silly money on branding, logos, names, typography. I just did two brand exercises (we ran two design processes because it is B2C), one was with a great South East Asian design studio, it cost us…. $1,500 and the other was with a Greek designer and it cost us…. $1,200.

There is no reason to pay $20k for brand and all that for a startup. A California designer wanted $150 an hour for branding.

Now… trademarks and all that will cost us £16k for 5 different countries. And there is no reason to spend that before customer validation.

I wish they were open and involved both verbally and physically in the challenges that Punjab and Sikhism are facing. They could have stopped or slowed down the corrosion of cultural, water, and youth (especially drugs), crime (gangsters). But, they prefer to stay low-key unless until something really crosses the line.
