Racism isn't bad enough in the US to warrant not going there. I lived in America for 10 years. People there don't really discriminate against other people very often based upon race. It sounds bizarre to say that given the news you hear about US but its true. Indians wouldn't be CEO of google, mastercard, paypal and pepsico if there was massive discrimination against indians.

Taxes are lower in the US than in India. I paid 25-30% tax on my income. In India its around 40-50%.

Lifestyle in america is more individualistic so you can be who you want there but you cant live a lifestyle 100% like india. There will be no street vendors, you cant just get hot fresh food whenever you feel like, the weather is more varied and range is more, it gets colder in the US than india, the people are polite but don't want friendships as easily as they are obtained in india.

Overall, America was pretty good. The part that sucks is that healthcare is nonsensical over there, the weather extremes are worse than north india, and cheap labor and cheap fresh hot food aren't common there. Americans are more shameless about what they eat. They will eat almost anything and its kind of gross to me personally.

Sach me yar! Using public washrooms in India is my nightmare! I rarely use public washrooms but if I have to I already know where & when I would find them clean. In malls, I know which floor washrooms will be cleanest etc etc, if I am watching a movie I would be the 1st one to rush out at the intermission to use the washrooms as then I would find them clean, lol! I too have seen very bad toilets at some places and while travelling which worries me to take my kids out on a trip. In a plane travel also I use the airport washroom just before boarding and prefer not to use the aircraft toilets….such is my fear of entering into a dirty Indian toilet see 🙄
