    Radicalisation over statehood happens very rarely due to the belief that it can be achieved within the bounds of the Constitution. And even if it does happen, insurgency for statehood doesn't have a single successful case. Examples such as the Kuki or Tripuri insurgencies haven't achieved anything of note.

    Unfortunately, insurgencies for independence from India has been the only ones that has achieved statehood. Prime examples being Nagaland and Mizoram. It is the result of the NNC or MNF negotiations and settlements with the GOI. I would say this is fairly improbable now as any means.

    But in this new era of post-2014 political landscape, the imposition of certain cultures and languages will cause tensions never before seen in India's history. Let's see how India's future unfolds.
