  1. Is there any festival/strike today? Most of the hotels in Swiggy are closed?

    4 months
Swiggy hasn’t paid the riders their salaries. About half the riders in Mangalore are on strike because of this.

  4. Unpopular Opinion: Overuse of Blood and Gore has reached a sickening point.

Wish we go back to the 90s-2000s when feel good, non violent, rom coms/family movies like DDLJ, KJo movies (KKHH, K3G), DTPH, QSQT, Salman’s Rajshri trilogy (MPK, HAHK, HSSH) struck BO gold, of course the usual masala action entertainers (like Sunny Deol’s Ghayal) did well commercially, but at that time there was a good balance of genres regardless of movie quality

Especially considering most of BW’s 80s era was characterised by low effort masala movies (while the parallel cinema movement was in full swing), such movies were kind of a breath of fresh air

I agree that a movoe shouldn't be marketed as gore.
Marco was soo bad, overuse of gore.
Animal was marketed as violent movie but not as blood and violence, like violent cinema... it honestly had no overuse of violence.
Kill had a lot of bloodshed and I think that was necessary, it was a full blown action movie, there was no overuse of gore, in the 1st half there is no gore, in the 2nd half when he starts to KILL people that's where gore comes in, that shows his emotions at that time.
Havent seen Fateh yet, but Ive seen the trailers They are marketing it as an action movie, they are not selling it as gore.

  8. Why are most babas men? And their women followers outnumber men?

    4 months
Women are more brainwashed by religion, as it is a tool primarily to control women. Women also face a harsher life in backward countries. If you face more problems, you are more likely to look for solutions.

  10. Civilized hona h, westernize hote jaa rhe h

"Isn't Western culture all about materialism, while being civilized is more about spiritualism?

That's a common myth. In reality, Western societies are less materialistic than developing nations like India. Why? Because many Western societies have already overcome poverty and enjoyed material wealth for decades, allowing them to shift their focus toward spiritual growth. True spiritualism is difficult without sufficient material comfort.

Indians who claim to be spiritual while living in poverty are not genuinely so. Just look at the number of Westerners who visit India seeking spiritual guidance they flock to ashrams, Art of Living centers, and Sadhguru's retreats. Even in Western countries, you'll find significant interest in mindfulness, meditation, and Eastern philosophies.

Ironically, most Indians lack a real understanding of spiritualism. Few have read the Gita, the Upanishads, or Vedanta philosophy, yet many speak authoritatively on the subject. Spiritualism doesn’t mean renouncing material wealth just because you lack it it’s about evolving beyond materialism after experiencing it. It's like aspiring for a Rolls-Royce or BMW after growing tired of a Honda. But someone who has never owned a car can't realistically claim to transcend materialism while still riding a Splendor. True spiritualism comes *after* material sufficiency, not as a shortcut or pretense.

An engine can feel "boring" but it can still be powerful. "Boring" refers to the power delivery. Get a test ride

  20. Suggestions for New Bike >=350cc

    4 months
A test ride should clear most doubts. Super Meteor or Shotgun are lifestyle purchases, the suspension is stiff and ground clearance isn't the greatest but it is really good looking and a lot of fun to ride.

Himalayan 450 will be on the heavier side and you should be okay with that. It's not the best bike for city use. Test ride the Scrambler 400x also.

CB350s will get boring real soon. Wouldn't advise it as the power jump is small and you won't feel it due to the long gearing. Better go for 40hp machines.
