The moment you step out of barricade that officially marks the boundary of mela are, I am not kidding, literally step out, there is a perpetual massive traffic jam. 70 percent of work and construction is done barely a week ago. In fact, a lot of roads, bridges etc are in progress. You can come to City and see it.
Don't even ask me about quality because it will be visible as soon as the two months period would be over, all the construction done in this short period, would be peeling off. However, noone would care then.
There is nothing for poor people or comman man. It's bizzare to see that in this Mela, they have built gated society which defeats the whole purpose of spiritualism but as long as money is flowing, everyone is happy.
In any case, these numbers don't make sense from economic point of view too and reality is very different.

For example, when I was buying my D390, I visited four different showrooms before settling on Khivraj. Though it was slightly more expensive, their attentiveness, clarity, and the way they explained insurance claims convinced me. They even came through when my bike had an accident, I didn’t have to do anything as they handled everything seamlessly.

I’ve also noticed that some people tend to get upset when service managers suggest something, instead of working with them. For instance, during my last service, they showed me that my front discs needed replacing. After a discussion, we decided not to replace them immediately since they still had roughly 1,000 km of life left, and my next service isn’t due for another 5,000–6,000 km. Communication and understanding go a long way in such situations, no one likes being yelled at.

I’m not sure if you are just venting or looking for suggestions. Also not sure if you are a founder or an employee. I’m Sharing some thoughts from my career in startups that might be helpful to you, and hopefully others in the community.

It’s all part of the game, really. Careful planning, prioritization, and setting expectations (internal and external) helps a lot, but the environments are often so dynamic that all of those things can shift pretty quickly. Being flexible and trying to enjoy it is key. Managing priorities and its impact on workflow are tough. A simple kanban board can be immensely helpful in visualizing priorities and work in progress for everyone. It’s important for leadership to be able to see it, too, so that they have a feel everything that is being done, not just what is top of mind, and so that they can advise when they see problems with priorities.

Something that is important personally is setting boundaries. Work life balance in startups tends to skew heavily towards work, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t also set boundaries and expectations that if you have to stay up late fixing something, you are going to come in a little later the next morning or leave early on another day to make up for it. You will never fully make up all the extra hours in comp time, but the goal is to make sure you take enough back to not burn out.

Staffing is almost always a challenge. It’s natural to want to hang onto control in your area, but cross training within the existing team is super important because it allows folks to cover for each other. Advocate for that as much as you can. Also establishing some sort of on-call rotation for after hours support is huge. I highly recommend trying to do that as soon as staffing allows.

This all is made easier with good documentation. Lots of startups choose not to document things because they want to move fast and documentation takes time. You don’t have to document everything under the sun. That is not valuable. What is valuable is documenting the things that others might need to know in order to cover for one another or to enable more effective training of new team members when they are hired and drinking from the firehose.
