I believe that very less population amongst us have associated ourselves with other sports. Cricket was associated with us either directly or indirectly. We have either played cricket in our childhood or if not played at least we had been a part of conversation where the family/friends would have discussed it. This is not the case with other sports.
And now' a days the Indian brands too try to promote cricket because cricket brings more money to their table as compared to other games.
Maybe a few years down the line we would be having some other sport trying to match the level of what cricket is today.

Great performance, reliable, good general customer experience (except banglore I guess....that 1 showroom has been pulling them in gutter), feels nice to drive, has a engine that performs well in city environment and decently well on highway, good suspension and priced very well.

Just one thing - HONDA.

Hero-Honda made some great bikes and super reliable engines, but it was the japanese engineering that backed these products.

Things changed when Hero went solo. Hero does know how to make good hardware and robust bikes, but they just don't know how to make good engines. The engines developed by hero only are neither mechanically smooth and nor reliable in long run. They make one of the worst gearboxes, the gear shifts are rock hard. And just after riding few 1000 kms, their engines drop the smoothness, mileage also drops, performance is also affected. And that's an issue with XMR 210 as well, few owners confirmed it on this sub only.

I realized this fact after experiencing it with my Xpulse 200. Compared to Hero, bajaj and tvs are just on another level when it comes to engines. Hero needs on work on their engines before anything else imo.
