OP, you miss the place because you miss particular things not the lifestyle. There will be a huge change in the lifestyle for which you have to mentally prepared.

Secondly like most of the people here mentioned, there will be issues with the education of your kids. Even though there are some good schools your kids will not get the outside exposure. For example English. None of the schools in Bihar will make your kid confident enough to speak in fluent English which may or may not affect your kids future. Not just that, people do struggle, and before anyone comes at me and say anything. I’m saying it because I have first hand experience of all these things. This was just an example.

Their career choices also might get affected because people in Bihar have a mindset of choosing the conventional path, but I’ve seen many people of my age taking scholarships going abroad, choosing career which I never knew existed. By the time I came to know my time was gone. So yeah it is what is it is.

And yes, it is a dry state. You’ll not have anything to do after your job if you’re into these things or if you have a social life in Delhi.
