How do co-founders meet?
You have a decade working in your field and the Bay Area, look at your personal network and see if there are any prospects or if they have contacts who may be good potential co-founders.
I became one when a VC friend asked me to look at a company they were contemplating funding whereas others have been through my personal network. -
My observations as a Goan who was raised outside Goa.
If there are 10 tourists, the ones you see shouting at the pool or driving like crazy or littering are not all 10. They are probably a small proportion of them. That's what makes them more visible. If you look at any beach - let's say Palolem - out of 10 people there 8 are tourists, but one 2 may be littering or making noise or would drive their car roughly or engage in other kinds of behaviour. The rest of the 6 are not causing any problems. Imagine if 8 out of 10 people on the beach were making noise, misbehaving with the remaining 2, crashing their cars when they are on their way back to their hotels, it would be mayhem.
So I think statement no. 1 would be more accurate without the word 'most'.
Statement no. 2 - I am not Goan and the Goans I came to know in person during my time in Goa - most of them did not say rude things to me or threaten to hit me - but some of them did.
People who live in arrogance and have a superiority complex don't always go about telling it to those who they have it in relation to, so the property broker or shopkeeper's superiority complex may not be clear to me in a 5 minute interaction.
However, I can say that most Goans who post here and on Facebook seem to be what you describe most Goans to be like. Are they representative of Goans in general? Probably to a substantial degree.
Also, to me this seems to be more of a coastal problem. The more away from the coast I was the less hostile faces and vibes I noticed. There also seems to be a class angle here. The lady who came to clean my place or the security guard - they were Goans - but they seemed genuinely nice to me, not just because I am richer than them. Then I went to a restaurant owner or a potential landlord and there was some gruffness in their demeanour, I could easily imagine them saying nasty things about non-Goans when I leave.
Similarly, when driving through and exploring the southern most parts of the coast - Talpona, Galgibaga, other relatively uncrowded places in Canacona, the locals were relatively less educated and prosperous, spoke no English and only broken Hindi, but they were friendly and welcoming. The more north I went along the coast the more I found people arrogant.
Also, I think it is more than ignorance and arrogance, or superiority complex. I would say there is a tendency to directly or vicariously love violence. Goans have threatened to assault me or in other places created an atmosphere where they clearly would have been a physical fight if I had not withdrawn. There are dozens of posts narrating such experiences by non-Goans on this forum and others, and whenever such an experience is narrated by a non-Goan, the vast majority of Goan respondents enjoy the story of a threat or an actual assault and say it is well deserved, or at best say this is because of tourism, as if violence is justified.
Statement 3 - agreed.
I say this from my experience in South Goa. I hardly went to north, it is too crowded for me, but I spent a few months in south. -

STRUGGLING with Marketing — Any Wisdom to Share?
It’s important to get your story out there. The easiest and most cost effective way is social media and posting organically. Depending on your company and the problem it solves, doing some form of PR may be helpful but journalists are probably overwhelmed with startups pitching their companies.
Tick Tock is a great place to start but don't be self-promotional, talk about your journey like your struggles and your wins. People love authenticity so try to be as authentic as possible -

Why is masturbation still a taboo in Indian society?
Imagine your pet dog rubbing himself off and you see him and he still rubs himself. You’ll think what a pity animal, he doesn’t have control on his thoughts and actions.
Same goes for anyone else.
You’re bot disciplined enough and are so lost in lust that you’re jerking off even when you can get caught.
It’s plain stupid.
Also, western countries approaching this is very different and not good as well.
Their doctors claim that it’s healthy and do it twice.
Ayurveda says just the opposite.
American doctors have previously said Smoking is healthy too. How did that turned out?
The stigma around masturbation from senior citizenship is just because they understand the value of controlling the lust and urge. -
