4 of my friends got married in the last 3 years, let me tell you not a single one of them is fully happy. Household chores are seen as their responsibility while they are doing 50-50 with income. 2 of their MILs and FILs fired the household maids as soon as they got married cuz what's the use of maids now that bahu aa rahi he ghar pe, so bahu will take of those tasks. All of my married working friends wake up at 4 am early in the morning to clean the house, do the laundry and prepare, and pack the food for everyone. And food should be prepared for each individual according to preference, husband likes spicy food, mil doesn't like salty but wants spice, fil likes no salt no spice food cuz he has health issues. And all of my friends contribute to household bills too while taking up 100 percent of household chores because they don't want to be seen as "freeloaders". Omg the worst part is not a single man here has basic hygiene. They can't even fucking pee properly and bahu has to clean bathroom every week because the mother in law has always been doing it. My friends can't complain to their own mothers because it's something a woman has to do so they complain to me. I don't tell solutions because all they need is some empathy and a listener since not even their man child husbands listen to them. And the husbands have the audacity to say I want kids just like how a 5yr old wants doggy. These are all the same friends who dreamed about getting married to supportive and emotionally mature men. But they all got blackmailed by their parents into marrying before 25 and to those guys who looked good on paper and during the first meetings and dates.

I was there last year in August, the authorities came on board to inspect the vessel.
