Mass protests against current President Donald Trump to be held across the United States in every state capitol and city hall for Presidents’ Day (2/17/2025)
I was having a philosophical conversation with someone who is retired from the military today, and I asked if it were possible that this could entail military intervention.
On the grounds that:
Trump has indicated fully that he has no intentions on following the law, and more importantly, the constitution. Which he swore to on January 20th. So if he's not going to abide by the constitution, then his actions should be considered treason, and the military should intervene.
My friend said the military won't follow an unlawful order, plus Trump has "tossed the constitution out." My response was that if there are no longer laws, then there can't be an unlawful order.
Plus, his presidential powers come from the constitution, so if he considers it null and void, then he's not a president...he's just a regular person/wannabe dictator, who is now trespassing in the white house.
So my theory is that the military should activate, storm the white house, lock him and his merry band of misfits up, and throw them in jail.
And I'm not kidding. -

Trump’s even saying it himself
It amazes me the cognitive dissonance of the right to argue that Trump isn't going to do the very thing Trump clearly states he's going to do, ignore when he does it, and then blame everyone but Trump when he follows through. Boggles the mind. -

(M21)All my peers are going somewhere but me, and I’m fine with it
I went through something similar, though at least for a decade I had my best friend from childhood always around until he passed away a couple years ago. I've only recently come to a similar level of acceptance and forgiveness for myself. I have my own private goals and projects that I still want to work for but I don't admonish myself anymore for being behind others from my past. -

Valentine's with my Girl and a Himmy!
Calling the Himalayan “Himmy” is just plain cringe. It takes a tough, no-nonsense adventure bike and turns it into something that sounds like a kid’s stuffed toy. The Himalayan is built to tackle rough terrain, carry you through the unknown, and take a beating in the process—it’s not some cute little runabout that needs a cuddly nickname.
It’s like calling a Land Rover Defender “Defy” or a Ducati Panigale “Panny”—why? The name “Himalayan” carries weight. It’s inspired by the highest, most unforgiving mountain range in the world. Calling it “Himmy” just makes it sound soft, and if you’re riding one, that’s the last thing you want it to be. -

If the law of karma is real and the almighty himself promises to uphold righteousness then why still does evil and unrighteousness prosper so much?
I didn't read the whole thing, just the title.
You have no clue how that person's previous lives brought karma. They could have brought great karma in previous lifetimes and finally have a life with great knowledge, wealth, etc...then blew it in this current lifetime on ego and evil.
That's ALL there is to it. Worry about your karma from today forward, but glad you asked so you and many can learn that this is the simple truth.
