In addition to that, the character in the visuals naturally blends in with the surroundings, producing a camouflage (even without the uniform). It both signifies their stealth as an army and their identity, which is rooted in that very land. Moreover, if we envision the frame as the map of the nation-state, it is interesting that the character occupies "the eastern periphery" of it, not the "center".
