My old American friend worked as a night security guard at some old factory. Most of the time he was playing games or watching TV. He even played league with me sometimes whilst working, and he would do his hourly check between games.

Always wished I could get something like that here in the UK, but nothing is that laid back here.

Acting like a doormat and wondering why people walk over you.

As someone who is at a similar age and similar situation, I absolutely relate to this. This post gave me motivation to reiterate my wishes of escaping the middle class.

However, I also want to say that don't become so focused on the goal that you forget to enjoy the journey.

Basically, you don't want to be sitting at the top with none of your dear ones close to you. I absolutely agree that the only way to get out of this situation is strong ambition and dedication but that doesn't mean you stop enjoying life and stop being happy.

So make sure to strike a balance during this journey. Good luck!
