- Each doc is a blog post
- folders are categories
- authorship is derived from the doc creator. Publish date etc from the doc metadata
- sharing settings determine whether a doc is published

The platform would hook into the Google drive webhooks to get notified when anything changes then sync it all.

I'd advise doing one website. For SEO purposes, you can hit keywords for both with different pages on the same website and do better for your overall authority/traffic than if you had two separate websites.
