I’m guilty as a non-technical founder
My requirements now for a non technical to partner with me would be:
- proof of validation
- proof that they have put in the effort
- proof that they have been talking to potential customers and have a solid stream of communication with them
Saying have an idea” is not enough. If you really believed in the idea you would be spending your nights weekends trying to make it happen.
Source: Ive been that technical partner who believed in the idea and decided to split 50/50 and it was one of the worst decisions I made. -

Kochi infopark metro station design
The renders are looking nice, but would this be the final outcome? 🙂
I feel the space is not enough and it will be too much congested inside the building once it start operating.
Also Infopark need to solve the parking issues... -

Travel to Coimbatore
Like others mentioned, make sure you are well prepared for the heat. If you want to checkout the shops or going for shopping it’s nice to have a local companion/guide with you.
Places to explore:
Gandhipuram, Cross cut road and 100 feat road. These three places are considered together as heart of the city. People are very crowded here and don’t even think about people to respecting your personal space especially when you are walking. These places has lot of textile shops from which you can get all different types of clothes. You’ll find them very cheap, and they will be of superior quality.
If you don’t like crowds, visit places like RS Puram, Saibaba Colony. These are tier 2 places with much less crowd.
If you want to travel and spend time alone and just enjoy nature visit Anaikatti, Siruvaani and other outskirt places in Coimbatore.
People:
You’ll come across all kind of people here. Some will be very friendly and some are total scammers.
People will cut the queues, most of them lack self discipline even though they will be well dressed and well educated.
Be Prepared to amazed by how people drive their cars and bikes here. Traffic is crazy.
Food:
This is a tricky part. Most of the people here are Pure Vegetarians. Must try Pure vegetarian restaurants are: Annapoorna, Sree Anandhaas, Nagercoil Arya Bhavan. These restaurants have multiple branches throught coimbatore.
Non veg Restaurants: Haribhavanam, Ambur Star Briyani, Curry Factory, etc. All these are famous for Briyani. Fun fact, in almost every road in Coimbatore you can find a restaurant that seves Briyani. People here love Briyani like anything.
Malls and Cinema:
compare to other cities, Coimbatore People have very less entertainment destinations . The most favourite one that everyone visits are cinema halls. people here love watching Cinemas.
Malls to hangout: Brookfields, Prozone. The malls have a theatres which has a lot of screens, and if you are someone who likes to watch movies, then it’s a must have experience in Coimbatore.
Language : For the most part, almost most of the people here knows English, so you can communicate much easily compare to other cities with English.
all the very best for your visit to Coimbatore and I am sure you’ll enjoy it . -

How do i begin with it?
Starting in a field like mental wellbeing is inspiring, and your passion for impact over quick money is a great foundation. I’ve been in your shoes, and one thing that helped was validating ideas early. There are tools like AI-copilot can assist with competitor analysis and market research, helping you identify gaps and unique opportunities even in competitive spaces. Instead of worrying about tech giants, focus on starting small—solve a specific problem for a niche audience and grow from there. Remember, even giants can’t cater to everyone, and your unique perspective can make a big difference! Small steps lead to impactful results! -
