I don't know the politics of marriage but there are layers to it. It's complicated. It's not always about love. I'm 92 born, so I heard way too many people talk about how a teacher's job is far convenient for a woman since you come home in time & can manage domestic chores too. A 24 YO guy told me to 'settle down' wtf. If I had a penny for every time I have heard from people that I'll regret not having kids. Yeah, we'll watch.
