In the past and I mean just a couple of decades ago, we hardly lost anyone to cancer but it's spreading like wildfire these days in India.

There is obesity, diabetes, heart disease on top of it. The medica brush this all away saying it's all due to metabolic disorder, but highly likely they are all related to adulterated food, microplastics carcinogens in our food.

Moreover, the pesticides and fertilizers are killing us right from their germination. It is a scary future for our people and if we don't wake up to this now, the future is certainly bleak.

I am a north indian living in south india (tamil nadu) for almost a decade. I know people are all praising south india but to each his own.

The thing that bothers me the most about here is the extreme racism that everyone has against north indians. They of course won't beat you on the streets like karnataka people because they know it is bad for business. But they absolutely hate the north indians.

I'm working in a central govt office so my views might be biased but the kind of racism that we face here is next level. My south in dian colleagues are 100 times less educated and less capable than us but get good postings while I have to slog. It's ok. But what I hate the most is when they gang up and throw the north indians under the bus for their mistakes/corruption while the south indians who do that are not even disciplined. For example, a south indian guy in my office came drunk and tried to fight with other people. Nothing happened. A north indian guy fought others in a bar, was immediately suspended without any sort of hearing.

Most south indian people in office know hindi very well. But they'll refuse to speak it. But if you're talking something important or abusing someone, they'll hear it immediately.

No matter how long you live here, they'll never accept you as your own. Never get invited to their children's birthdays, their own birthdays, etc etc. They give invitation for their daughters marriage buy only as a formality. They do not expect us to attend. This is fine by me because I anyway don't like socializing but it bothers my colleagues who've been here for as long as I have been.

Almost anything you buy in the kirana shops will be sold to you costlier than the locals. If you get in an accident with the locals, they'll gang up on you.

I'm sure you're getting my point. I'm saying this as someone who's experienced this shit for almost a decade here. I can't move because my job posting is permanent. I'm not in a financially stable position to quit my job yet but I plan to do it once I'm secure enough.
