your patent will protect your current design but if it is as good as you say push it to market and saturate it

create the brand around it so your loyal followers know you started the trend and its your product

make minute adjustments and improvements to help next generation of the same product

copy cats will only focus and spend countless hours on old designs while you are working on generation 2 or 3.
