In general you should never use the default dns given by the oem/cell provider.
Always go for private dns providers like quad9, nextdns, cloudflare, etc. In India nextdns works excellent (with added benefits of ad blocking)

I am in Canada and here if you are in uni most of the parents expect you to work and handle your personal expenses like going out or sometimes even rent. Which is at age 18 and people start earning if they are not going for masters at 22 or 23. We indian’s live in a society that made us way too much comfortable and i love the idea of big families but it also hinders the mental growth plus works more as safety net.
