If you want to go for a Software Developer career, don’t drop. Get into a private university like PESIT, RV or maybe even VIT, SRM. A lot of institutions take their own exams as well, and with private money/connections can help.
Once you get in, start the grind. Aim for standing out from the crowd and don’t rely on college placements. Get deep understanding of fundamentals, grind DSA, build lots of projects. This will help you get a decent internship in 2nd year, any startup with good work. Then aim for GSOC if possible, otherwise internships. Good projects, internships, strong fundamentals and DSA should be good for you to stand out and get a good job n career ahead.

Always remember, if you’re behind others - it’s just because they’ve put a lot of effort that you couldn’t. Doesn’t mean you can’t start now.
