They lost almost all of their key leaders and researchers. Their most recent releases have been lackluster. Sam Altman went around saying absurd things and trying to raise money at trillions of dollars in valuation.

When you make so many missteps that Mark Zuckerberg - rememeber the cocky annoying robot of a guy from the social network that was known for privacy violations and election interference and bullying, acquiring or copying competitors and making wild bets and a nuclear failure of a rebrand and many more? He became the hero of a truly open AI? WHAT? This guy tried to move away from a free INTERNET with a thinly veiled attempt (free basics) an ironic name which fooled no one.

How bad do you have to fuck up, that you enabled the guy who tried to remove internet democracy to rebrand himself as the face of democratized AI?
