Here are some unique ones I have tried:

1. Ceylon halwa - made from rice and Karuppati. It tastes good and should have 2-3 days shelf life

2. Tirunelveli halwa, Muscoth Halwa - Average

3. Ashoka Halwa - Bad

4. They are known for their Ilaneer Payasam.

5. And then infamous bun butter jam. Although it's loaded with a very thick layer of what is definitely not butter. You would have to spoon it off and then relish the bun.
