Robbers in Mysore.
Our house war robbed last July-August. My mom was visiting me in Canada. My brother was in hospital for work.
Out house is outskirts of Vijaynagar 4th stage. Lots of construction going around. We suspect that someone saw only my brother going and coming at odd hours and planned this.
They broke the door entered house around 10pm. Left around 2am. Vehicle moment was caught in neighbors camera. They entered home and took the cctv hard disk with them. We didn't have cloud cctv setup. Big mistake.
They took only gold. Didn't even touch silver. There was barely any cash at home. My mom was smart and kept all her jewelery in bank.
Some jewelery from my brother's wedding was left at home which was taken.
As some other user said, We as kids always used to make fun of our parents for having all this protective gates. Even my brother was tired of locking/unlocking extra metal door my mom got installed and he locked only thr main door. If the metal door was locked, we could have been spared. -
Don't you think Duolingo should add kannada.
Not needed 🤣 -
is it legal/correct that the garbage collecting man takes money to put garbage in the vehicle
No, you arent required to pay him
But, i think he has made this his own private income.
You can report this to your city's nagar nigam but if they are busy taking under-table sweets like my city's Nagar nigam then i wish you good luck. -
To the guy who posted riding gear is overrated as ragebait, this is riding gear protection with a fall at 80kph.
Get well soon! At what speed was this? Anything could've been done to prevent?
Ah, speed's in the title. -

I totally agree with OP here but would like to ask one question - what about riding skills?
I feel most of the motorcyclists in our beautiful country consider themselves to be Rossis after learning how to ride (irrespective of age).
Promoting riding gear isn't enough. Riding habits, skills, etiquettes and open to learning is something we DESPERATLEY need. And no, I am not talking about hand signs when you ride in a riding group and neither am I talking about cornering skills (although it would be a good addition). When you are skilled and ATGATT, the chances are less and it will be a good skill as well. -

People Everytime crying over the team selection
Everything’s great but I’d still prefer Sanju over Rishabh. You’re mixing formats. -

Marathi Manus, what do you think about this?
The problem is we don’t unite when there is a pack of basic infrastructure like roads, hospitals, civic sense in people, etc. we don’t fervently asks for roads as much as say showing how Hindu’s are oppressed or were oppressed blah blah. The politicians play our religious sentiments to keep us distracted from the real problems in India.
The recent tax hikes by Finance Ministry is an ongoing bloody social experiment to see how idiots these tax paying middle class people are, how much are they willing to suffer without even asking for basic infrastructure. So in all sense he is right. -
People Everytime crying over the team selection
Fans do get carried away and that's the beauty of cricket fans. However, the so called experts, they are paid to share their views in Media. They do it for the money and justify why someone should have been picked over the other. There isn't a single instance where everyone was 100% satisfied with the team that has been selected. So there is no real point discussing it. -
Any takes on this? Felt helpless.
Where is it in doon? Please mention the address -
Noise pollution and honking never stops
Weird. My house is adjacent to a national highway. Kanakapura road.(NH209) and I don't get to see these late night honkings even though many take late night deliveries. The only noise i get is if sometimes a large truck with heavy load. -
Why do a lot of NRIs assume that you are brown = you must speak Hindi? My experiences in Toronto/North America
There is some kind of scam going in North States regarding ILETS as people who can't even speak basic English are getting bands above 7 to join diploma mills in Kanedda -

January 19, 1908 - The First Gurduara Inaugurated in Canada
###Today in Sikh History:
>The first Gurduara Sahib in Canada, named “The Khalsa Diwan Society Vancouver,” was established at 1866 West 2nd Avenue, Vancouver, BC. The society was founded in 1902 with support from Sant Teja Singh, who had come to BC and assisted the Sikh community in establishing organizations.
>Much like all Gurduaras, the one in Vancouver served not only as a place for worship but also as a community hub for activism and social change. Many individuals involved with the Gurduara were also members of the Ghadr party, making it a center for anti-colonial activity.
>In the 1970s, the Gurduara property was sold, prompting its relocation to its current site on Ross Street, still within Vancouver. -

Not just NRIs. Hindi speaking Indians assume that in India & in every other country.
I was from Hindi speaking state & I had also made this wrong assumption when I was immature.
