I wouldn't investor or trade in XRP because of its history specifically. With crypto more broadly, BTC and other reputable coins are in a long term bull trend with very little data on how you could even swing trade, let alone day trade.

I also don't trust most of the exchanges. They are sketchy af and the liquidity on e.g. the CME is not the best. So it's expensive and risky to try to trade it directly. Given that it is correlated with other instruments, the exposure you are getting is not so novel that there's huge value add to adding it an an instrument as part of a broader strategy unless you are fully maxed out on everything else and just really need another few symbols. Moreover, the volatility is so extreme that leverage is dangerous and position sizing has to be fairly small to begin with. So although you can get good returns on paper because of the volatility, once you even things out with properly small position sizing and net out the correlation, it's a lot less enticing.

So, in terms of expected $ per unit effort of research, it doesn't seem like a productive use of resources at this time. I'm keeping an eye on it. But for now, it's "invest passively".

When Trump announces some new plans, I hope journalists start asking if hes run it be Elon yet.
