For Indians, both married and unmarried, do you regret your decision?
Best decision of my life yet. Period. Totally luck dependent though. If your partner is amazing, you hit the jackpot. If not, it’s hell on earth. Luckily I’ve not had a better time since I met my partner,, -

What's it like returning to Hyderabad after visiting USA for the first time?
The auto ride back home feels a bit scary. Like whenever the driver ignores the while lines on the roads and drifts into next line casually, it sets off alarm bells in your head. For the first few days after returning back traffic feels a bit overwhelming. Your mind keeps applying US driving rules to Indian traffic.
Walking on the road feels overwhelming for the first few weeks. You are constantly competing with vehicles for space on the road.
Then there's the smells, the dirt and everything.
Rudeness of people is the next thing you notice. People in the US are rude too. But their rudeness mostly comes from xenophobia, racist beliefs. White people are racist in a subtle condescending way. People in India are rude in an entitled way. Like you would be talking to a teller in a bank. People would put their hand over the counter, hand cash to the teller interrupting your conversation. Lots and lots of entitled A\*\*holes in India. But it's a lot easier to deal with entitled A\*\*holes. You just have to constantly raise your voice. Always be prepared to create a scene. There's nothing entitled A\*\*holes fear more than being called out for their entitled behavior in public. Racism and Xenophobia on the other hand is very difficult to counter. It comes in the form of gaslighting and dog whistling. It's too subtle. If you pick fight with them, it only makes you look like a dick. In American society micro-aggression are way too common. The shit Indians do is not that subtle, so it's easy to counter. -

Help! I hope I can post this here
What is your profession OP?
If you are able to rock a suit for some presentation/interview/events at work, I would suggest getting a suit tailored in very neutral colors (Grey / Black / Blue) so that you can get more vfm out of a suit.
If you think that would be too formal, get a blazer tailored in neutral colors and mix it up with a trouser / shirt of your choice. A boring work blazer can become a party wear, just by switching to a fun printed/colored shirt.
Get a pair of moccasins and a classic watch. If you feel more fancy, get a pocket square and cufflinks too.
Strictly no "Pala pala" blazer that reflects light. Dull and "Earthy" colors are more classy and great for photos as well. -

Nifty 50: Is the Bottom Formation Finally Complete?
22500 is the accumulation zone support if you look at the consolidation phase from December 2023 to may 2024. Post May 2024 is when nifty started hitting new high after new high before finally succumbing to correction. Today's recovery is just to bring in more buyers so FIIs can continue dumping tomorrow. Same thing happened between 28 Jan and 5 Feb when market recovered almost 1000 points and people thought that the selling had finally stopped, only for nifty to fall down again and go below 22800 twice - on 12th Feb and today.
Also, when you look at 5yr chart of nifty, there also 22500 serves as a support zone. Panic will issue if market breaks that level. But until then, stay bearish -
Mrs. movie offends because its real but is one particular change needed from women?
Well, Not a surprising take for this sub.
Anyway I come from a family/community where women have always worked, and many were the primary breadwinners. Here are their stories:
1. Age 90: both spouses worked but she was earning more. All housework done by her but at least her husband didn’t yell at her
2. Age 85: both spouses worked but she was the primary breadwinner. Did all the housework including fancy cooking and her husband used to berate every single thing she did
3. Age 72: husband was on VRS, she was working. All chores done by her, including intense elder care of his mom.
4. Age 60: sole breadwinner, husband did some child care and maids did the cooking/cleaning. Has to give her entire salary over to her husband so as to not hurt his ego
5. Age 40: sole breadwinner, had to listen to constant taunts by in laws (including the “smell like kitchen” one). In laws would keep a maid for all chores except for her room where she had to do everything. They would often finish off the food before she came home from work
6. Age 40, sole breadwinner. Husband does zero house or child care. She has to come home from work and make the kid do home work. Husband doesn’t give a xrap.
7. Age 40. Primary breadwinner. Only case I know where husband is an equal partner in housework and child care.
8. Age 35. Earning equal to husband. Still expected to do all the housework that the maid doesn’t do and get taunted by husband and MIL.
Almost every woman I know of my age (early 30s) has married a man earning similar to her and does the lions share of the housework
So it might be a good “gotcha” for you to victim blame women who are getting oppressed in their marriages, the reality is far from what Reddit thinks it is. -
Nepali girl suicides in bhubaneswar kiit university, qc-4, insensitive wardens and authorities suppressing the matter as always
I hope the poor girl's soul is at peace.
I have 0 hopes of her getting justice under our morally bankrupt judiciary, and bereft of empathy police.
Her alleged perpetrator is rich and she was a foreign national of not too powerful country. Candle marches solve nothing, nor do they have any effect in our oligarchic country.
I hope the Nepali diaspora create pressure on Indian authorities.
