Hey, Fellow PhD in Science here. I understand your struggle with motivation and not being able to get out of bed. And when you've zero optimism about future prospects, PhD feels like imprisonment. This is a very typical feeling in academia setting, you're not alone and you have to be kind to yourself. I think you're stressing too much on your age and getting a government job. I'd suggest you to try industry, I don't think there's any age restrictions here. You only need to show your transferable skills (PhD has a lot of it) and assuming you're from a national institute, you've better chances in industry. Please connect with friends, family and ex- PhDs who are in industry in your field (LinkedIn) and explore your options. The more you network and talk to people outside academia, the better it is for you.

Not defending anyone else whether the swift behind you or the lady behind swift because they definitely were too close but you did braked a lot late, if you were paying attention then you'd have known few second earlier that WagonR guy wouldn't stop and thus could have reduced your speed instead of hard braking like you did. Also to add, I have noticed that many passengers travelling to singapore (especially labor class) are being used as mules by some agents. First hand witnessed such communication after passing through customs. This could be one of the reasons why everyone is subject to such harassment. I have also gone through this and it is very annoying.
