Honestly ? Because I thought that was the next step after marriage. There was no awareness that we had a choice. 🤣 having said that- there is no regret. It is very tough. Parenting is very hard. You’re constantly worried if you’re screwing up your child 🙄 but it’s very rewarding. It’s unconditional love that you feel. And your child always makes you a better person. Makes you more patient and in most cases kids show you the mirror . If you’re being an asshole, they tell you. It’s fun to see them evolve into their own person. When they do well in something - even if it’s something really insignificant in people’s eyes, parents feel overjoyed. If they are struggling - you feel unbearable pain. You feel EVERYTHING your child feels - just more amplified.

It's like they will always think it's passive agressive way of complaining their upbringing or something is their fault.

There is no "venting culture" and you can only vent to your patner or co workers.

I say just chill, share only what is needed, like I'm tired, or leave me alone or something.

I could belive the uncle as one of my college friends joined merchant navy soon after finishing college. He was earning in lakhs while i was earning peanuts in my software development job, he is at a senior position now and gets called "sir" on the ship, he is well settled with multiple shops he managed to purchase and given on rent and few other businesses like electrical shops and a screw manufacturing unit.
