Keep the hindi war aside and think for a moment. What is the point of learning a third language? You are not just learning to speak that language but to read, write along with its grammar. No matter how much you learn you will only be able to speak well but not read and write well. Learning the third language will add burden to students. Despite what people may think the students are hardly going to face a situation in life where they would be required to read and write in third language.

Don't make it a "we". There is no rule to learn Hindi mandatorily. In that case English should also be not forced. People will learn voluntarily.

My niece wanted a fish first and once she got it, she played with it for couple of days and then my father had to take it in for next couple of years until is passed.

Later she insisted and cried for birds so sister for a pair of love birds. She played for few days then my dad had to take care for them for next few years until they died.

Now she wants a dog.

So remember that pet is a long time commitment. Think very long and hard before getting.

One of my friend in Pune has a cat and they need to take it with them when they go on vacation. And all flights don't allow them. So they either drive or take expensive flights.

Also there are pet day cares but they are expensive.

So think long and hard and wait out for a few months before finalizing.

As a former civil servant for the VA. 20 years. We all worked hard. Jumping through hoops. Several years of hiring freezes. So we couldn’t replace people who left. Yes. We received benefits and compensation. However. Every single person there worked so hard. Or patients and veterans would suffer more than they already were.

So, DOGE (nominally part of the executive branch) is shutting down the disbursement of congressionally authorized funds to all kind of departments and agencies and such.

If I'm not mistaken, congress has to come up with a budget on or about 3/14/2025.

Can congress devise a budget that dis-incudes funding for the Executive Branch? And pass it with a veto-proof majority?
