Congrats! I fully endorse the approach. I can't speak for anybody else, but here's how I did it. I tried to deliver the services manually with as little tech as possible. I'm not sure if that applies to you.

The second startup I exited, I "faked" the tech using graphics. Then I got my first $3K order after a customer interview, and I stayed up all night processing the data I got from them on spreadsheets. I did that to about $135K in sales (long nights and hand cramps) and then I knew what tech I needed. I'm not technical so I hired a dev shop and freelancers but kept selling. Then I had enough to bring on a CTO cofounder who I convinced based on progress.
