Welcome move. I hope the CPIM upholds a similar standard when they sit in opposition next time. -

How do people have so much money to spend on weddings?
It’s up to us to set limits on how much we want to spend on a single day. I definitely agree that people spend way too much on weddings to impress people who don’t matter. But… if we have expensive tastes, we can’t expect them to fit in small budgets. The truth is that while some planners do overcharge, most of them are just trying to cover their costs and make sure their entire team is fairly compensated. We might only look at the cost of materials and think “I could have done that for much cheaper”, but with any small business or self employed person, there are many many other costs, including costs associated with running a successful business, leave alone one that is able to expand with time. -

Can someone explain the aadu-maanchiyam-teak controversy?
I don’t know about aadu. But maanchiyam and teek, is a scam that happened in early 1990’s. They would ask you to invest in one tree or bunch of trees , which they supposedly will plant once you invest. The money you pay is basically the upkeep of the tree. Once the tree is about 15-20 yrs old they will sell it as wood for furniture or something. Then you will get an amount many times your investment. But of course they never planted any tree and scammed all the investors. If I am not wrong there was a company in palakkad at the root of this scam. -

Who Else Hates Prelaunching? Let’s Talk About It " I will not promote "
As a product developer, I totally relate to your journey! Our team, along with our clients, has explored various pre-launch strategies, including Kickstarter campaigns and directing traffic to landing pages for email collection. We’ve seen clients raise anywhere from $10,000 to $3 million before launch.
These days, no single approach is guaranteed to work, which is why we’ve shifted to a more data-driven strategy. This includes rigorous focus grouping, stricter brand and ad guidelines, extensive ad testing before scaling budgets, and leveraging organic sales on platforms like Walmart.com, Amazon, Wayfair, and Lowe’s to build ratings before an official launch. We’ve also increased ad spend with a strong focus on improving ROAS and expanded into new content formats, such as guerrilla-style TikTok videos. Most importantly, we prioritize early-stage customer feedback to fix and optimize every step of the sales process to make it easier and feel more confident to purchase. -

People who decided to stay back in Kerala
I'm in my late 20s. Going abroad was not that popular among my immediate circle while I was in my career-picking-period. Didn't know about much options either. I had a good opportunity outside the state too, but didn't pick it up either, because somewhere inside my mind I felt that I wouldn't want to be away from home for too long. Also, I wanted to grow my kids just the way I was brought up. Around people that they know.
There are times when I regret my decisions, especially when things don't go as I planned. Moments are there when I despise my parents so much, because they become controlley and nosey. I also regret not having the chance to see around and experience the world. Anyway, I have a well paying job here and there is so much comfort and peace in living in a land that feels home.
Sometimes, I miss the decade old Kerala where many people of my age group were around. Now society seems to be getting more empty. I wish there were more people like me who chose to stay back. -
Sony SAB is a gem of ITV. Who else agree with me?
They need to stop making it sony part 2 and let it be comedy show
When pashmina vanshraj arrived and before that Sony ceo had said somewhere they will change sab serials I had a bad feeling and look these sony type drama serials none watched. i think pushpa impossible is still there? Tarak mehta is soooo trash with an abusive producers. They need to bring back comedy shows and let the channel be, no need to destroy it like sony -
RE Himalayan 450
1. Vibrations are present, noticeable at higher rpms but they never bothered me. I have never gotten off of a ride with tingling hands and I have done 400km rides too.
2. The bike is heavy and I would suggest you to practice u-turns and slow turns if you get it.
3. Don't skip the OEM crash guard.
4. The bike feels amazing when cruising at 60-80. It has enough power to overtake and can easily reach triple digit speeds.
5. The suspension is very good. No need to slow down for rumble strips.
6. The headlight throw is abysmal.
7. The rider seat is large enough to move around in, but the pillion seat isn't very big or comfortable.
8. Getting mileage around 34 to 37 on long rides. 32 in the city.
