What is so frustrating about being middle class in India ?
As long as you buy decent medical insurance, being middle class in India rocks. People wait on you hand and foot. The problems mentioned (high cost of housing, taxes, poor opportunities etc.) are being faced by young people across the world. There are unquantifiable quality of life issues (pollution for example) that do make life better in the west but those are issues that affect the middle class as well as the poor. Speaking of poor people, not confronting poverty (homeless children) to the same extent while walking on the street is another aspect which makes life better in the west. And that is mostly a result of western governments giving out "revdis" to the poor by taxing the middle class. -

Non Veg in Hinduism
Krishna specifically mentioned that the consumption of meat is sinful and wrong in Kaliyuga. Similarly Animal Sacrifice in Asvamdha is seen in the Ramayana, but that version does not include eating the beheaded horse. Remember that Asvamedha is an umbrella term for the sacrifice of horses in general, and most of the time the horse wasn’t eaten in this certain version of the ritual.
With the Vedas however, meat eating is both mentioned and encouraged. It was allowed back then to eat meat but ONLY when the animal was properly sacrificed to the gods. If you were to go to the local butcher’s or the grocery store and buy meat, it would still be sinful to the Vedas. -

How do you be your own mentor/supporter?
So people say you should visualize the kind of life you want to build and all that stuff. But from my own experience and from a podcast that talks about studies done in this area, visualizing success might help you get started. But visualizing the consequences of not acting are what keep you going.
So initially before becoming disciplined, i would get up and remind how terrible it would be if I don't act. How stuck I'd feel. I think about the past times when I felt terribly low and unfulfilled and the fear it creates is helpful to get you out of the bed. After some days you might not need it daily.
Scientifically, they say it triggers the amygdala which is an important part of the neural network that is involved in building focus.
