I'm aware that salary for freshers is about 5LPA in companies like BDO. Big 4 might give u lesser and one of the big for also offers only contractual employment now.

Yeah mixing is okay to some extent but because of low population it should be done inside NE. General tips:

1. The weather is good at the moment but the afternoons do get hot. So I suggest you keep afternoons to indoor activities. Beaches and outdoor post 5 pm.

2. Chennai is a very safe place even at night (heavily policed), so you don't have to worry about anything with regard to safety, even at night.

3. Since you're 20 in number, the best way is to just take a minibus for the entire duration of your trip. It'll help you if you want to visit mahabalipuram/kanchipuram/pondicherry as well.

4. Having so many people might also reduce the chance of spontaneity. Most restaurants in Chennai are usually mid-size and are always full. So I suggest you call the restaurants before-hand and reserve for 20 people.
