I can't believe this wedding custom actually exists in Assam too
This is not true. No such ritual of breastfeeding exists in Assam afaik. If you have attended any assamese wedding, you would know what the second image is. The mother does spoon feed the groom some milk (not human milk) and sweets (usually rasgulla) and water under a cloth.
The groom has to fast on the day of wedding in Hindu ritual. When the groom is about to leave for the wedding at bride's place, this ritual is carried out. The mother does the ritual by covering her son under a cloth ( usually with the chador she is wearing. মাকৰ আঁচলৰ তলত). This is to show or signify the mother's unconditional love for her son that she cannot watch his son go hungry even on his wedding day. So she sneaks in some food before leaving the house ( a Mother never let her kids get out of the house on an empty stomach). She does so under a cover to not let the society know that the fast is technically broken.
This ritual symbolizes the concept of mothers' love.
# I don't know if any breastfeeding ritual exists outside of Assam. But here, it doesn't. I have attended multiple weddings, throughout different regions of Assam. -

Indian women, be honest—why do kind, introverted guys get ignored while toxic men get all the attention?
The fact that you view every guy in a relationship as someone “lesser” than you speaks more about how toxic you are instead. You mention they are poorer than you and less attractive than you. That fact that you think a woman is only attracted to things like that is reason enough for you to be complaining about being single. I think your post needs to be on r/niceguys, because you clearly seem to think you’re a nice guy but ignored by women, while other men are supposedly toxic etc. how about you do some self introspection, and work on building your character? People (men and women) are attracted to different things. You may just find someone who likes you for who you are. But don’t put down other men as any lesser just because you’re salty -
