Providing your child with food, clothing, shelter and an education so they can earn money and sustain themselves is the bare minimum. Once you start living your life, they will use this against you. Always remember they were suppose to do that. They didn't do any 'upkaar' on you. That was their job.

Live and enjoy your life. Don't let them burden you into marrying so guy who they think is good. Know the person and then marry.

No vices and stay away from them. Flesh out a good life for yourself. Don't go into UPSC if you don't want to.
