Do water softeners work for practical day to day usage?
Hair fall has indeed become a bigger problem to manage day by day.
Let's see the options available:
1. RO Water - Using RO water for hair washing can help with hair fall reduction but can also lead to scalp dryness and is also ineffective in rinsing off shampoo. Ruled out.
2. Canned water - a better option than RO water in all aspects but the quality of water varies by brand.
3. [Hard Water Softener for Tap and Shower](https://amzn.to/4gYu3Tr) \- removes hard minerals that cause hair fall and skin problems, softens water and is still effective in washing off shampoo. Good balance of effectiveness, cost, and practicality. -

When will they clean the Buddha Nala in Ludhiana? It is beyond dirty.
Punjabis never gonna vote for BJP, AAP/congress/akalis are hopeless at this stuff. So it's basically never. Unless locals pool in money and get it cleaned. Labour is cheap ironically.... -

We finally know why ancient Roman concrete was so durable
Roman concrete was very durable when they did it correctly. No it’s no way near as good as super premium modern mixes. Nor as consistent or quality controlled. This is old old news. -

how come a culture with kamasutra origins, erotic literature and art become a place where s*x is taboo and must avoid ?
Literature like the Kamasutra doesn’t prove that ancient societies were progressive or open about sexuality. Many wrongly assume that the society during its creation was sexually progressive.
The Kamasutra portrays women as objects to be controlled or conquered, with a focus on how men should pursue women, often disregarding their consent or agency. In ancient India, women were still subjected to patriarchal control over their sexuality.
Another point is that, while texts like the Kamasutra presented a more comprehensive and, at times, liberated view of sexuality, they were still part of a privileged discourse. These texts were mostly accessible to the elite (royalty, scholars, and aristocrats), while the everyday lives of common people were much more constrained in terms of sexual freedoms.
The arrival of British colonialism further shifted attitudes, imposing moral values and criminalizing practices that were once part of Indian culture. However, even before colonialism, things were not as ideal as often portrayed.
This is a misconception, similar to how, 1,000 years from now, future generations might look at platforms like OnlyFans and mistakenly think that our society was completely liberated and progressive about sexuality, while overlooking the complexities and plight of the masses and their lived realities. -
Can it get repaired or i just have to replace it?
This is a proper laminated display I guess , so replacement is required.
