Well you have to check if a superstition is doing any harm or is being used as a threat to scare someone even in the name of god, then it is most likely a superstition. A dharm is doing something dutifully as per your role, but like mentioned in mahabharat Arjun had to wipe out his relatives to claim the rule, you may do that with help of law, you literally cannot go on a killing spree there because krishna said its your dharm. Otherwise your dharm could be as a son, daughter, husband, wife, brother, sister, friend, employer as the role is you may have to do that dutifully with politeness and without harming anyone.
