Marathi film industry will be extinct by 2029
Not just film industry, Marathi language and culture and people are all endangered creatures with so much migration of outsiders into maharashtra.
My prediction= Marathi will cease to be state language and will be replaced by Hindi and Urdu. Chief Minister and cabinet will be filled by non Marathi speaking northern politicians.
It will be next to impossible for Marathi people to get employed due to exclusionary rules.
Media Narrative will be set in such a way that Marathi people will be told that maharashtra was built by people from UP Bihar Gujrat Bengal Punjab and it belongs to them only. -

Disgusting!! Why can't an Indian buy land in an Indian state? And they keep talking about akhandata!!! -
The United States, as currently seen by other western democracies. Oh, the punchline, well, we are the punchline sadly.
It's so embarrassing to be American right now. I just hope everyone knows, there are people here who don't, haven't, and won't ever support this crap that is going on here. We're disgusted, but powerless. -
What is so frustrating about being middle class in India ?
Watching your dreams slip away right before your eyes. I know there are always people who beat all odds and do whatever they like, achieve success and everything. But most of the middle class folks can't do much except in studies. In the USA or Europe, teenagers are allowed to do whatever they like, they are allowed to explore and not asked to just focus on studies. But the same can't be said for India.
Either you should be rich enough to explore whatever you like or mad enough to just leave everything and focus on what you like. Take example of Indian cricketers or many other sportsperson, many of them come from a very backward background but they just become so committed to their goal that they leave everything behind. Ab ye jazba kaise aata hai pata nahi, or na he sab mein hota hai. -

What is so frustrating about being middle class in India ?
No safety net. Can't afford a house. Sky high rents. High income tax burden. No income, pension, or financial security after 55 years of age. Govt is in front to grab a good chunk of our salary as income tax. But not to be seen to provide any help on the above things we need. -

Is it really largely due to any imposition or popularity?
Losing a language means losing history. The govt will rewrite your history if you don't protect it. That's why Kerala and West Bengal still has their language very popular. -
Is it really largely due to any imposition or popularity?
In North, there was never strong opposition to Hindi as seen in the South. Hindi was gradually standardized and made a mandatory language in education, while regional languages slowly lost prominence. With each new generation, the need for their mother tongue diminished. This was a subtle imposition that largely went unnoticed until people realized their local languages were fading. Take Pahadis, many younger people now want to learn their mother tongue, a topic that wasn’t of much interest before because the previous generation didn’t recognize the decline. A similar pattern is now emerging across the Northern Hindi belt.
In contrast, Southern languages belong to an entirely different linguistic family, leading to strong and still ongoing resistance against Hindi. As a result, any central government efforts to introduce Hindi are seen as an imposition. In the North, however, Hindi has become so dominant that speaking languages like Bhojpuri or even Khari Boli is often perceived as lower-class. -
