Most policemen face extreme work hours, political pressure from politicians and businessmen. Some of them don't even get any holidays throughout the year to spent time with families.

Kerala police is one of the best in India. They are more empathetic, effective and efficient than much of the country. Of course Indian policing standards are low compared to Europe. Still Kerala police punches above its weight.

But Kerala Police cops literally don't have any work life balance. They have extreme burn out rates and many of them just commit suicide.

Working conditions in Kerala Police are horrible. They must get proper shifts. Less police officers should be allotted on VIP duty. More cops should be hired. Kerala Police has a strength of 40k, it should be 70k at least.
