As a student on campus I can say with confidence that it's a very safe space. Campus security is very professional and they might seem rude on surface but are really serious about their job and are helpful. Generally IITB residents will come to your help if there is any visible issue so that shouldn't be of concern unless you are looking for trouble. Hope you have great time on campus.

BBMP has long forsaken city planning. They are giving permission to malls and layouts without any forethought. Causing congestion, deforestation and pollution. We are on our way to become the next Delhi but with the worst traffic in the world. Bad roads with potholes goes to show that paying them tax is only filling their pockets and is pointless.

I have been to almost all the fests in IITs but I have never heard that home students needs to vacate rooms for the outside students. an institute liek IITB should not have to do this. In my time (yeah, I am old), while visiting other IITs for fest, we used ot spend the night in the lawns or stairs if main building itself, singing songs and just having a good time.

I do not think spending night in a room should be acceptable during fests. Fests are for enjoying each and every moment but then what do I know !

I lived in those countries, immigration is significantly difficult for Indians U can stay on a work visa for a sometime but eventually will have to leave. Racism is super bad especially if you're Indian.
