Why is the part highlighted in yellow not included in Amaravati? Could it be the place left out for airport of the future? The grid pattern roads work more efficiently if the city overall is also in rectangular shape. In this case, it seems like they intentionally left this arc of an area. There are no mountains obstructing and no river, canal or road is forming any natural boundary either. Also proposed new railway line and inner ring road are also not passing through this area(images attached below).
