Apple Keyboard with TouchID choices

I really like my new keyboard with TouchID. I use it with a Mac Mini. I use the TouchID a lot for both access into the Home Screen of the Mac, and filling in passwords on websites. Are there actions that hard pressing the button does with besides locking the screen (back to the login screen)? Maybe something is available with the Cmd, Alt, Ctrl. I haven't been able to make it do anything with those.

Going nuts trying to add a printer

We have 2 older printers, a Canon MX-490 for color and a Brother HL-5740DW for monochrome and 2 sided printing. When I acquired them I just connected them via USB cables to my iMac 27 and shared them on the network so our MacBooks could use them. Everything was fine.
